Ronan hails from Cork in the South of Ireland and has spent his whole life playing in the Ocean. He has a deep passion for the outdoors and all things aquatic. So much so that in 2006 he decided on a major career change and committed himself to working full time in the outdoors and to sharing this love for the outdoors with others. Ronan started Ardmore Adventures, based in Waterford, in 2008 and has made a thriving business playing in the ocean since then. Although you are likely to find him on the beaches around cork and Waterford, he can be found playing anywhere in Ireland where there is water – His passion is in delivering skills and education courses in sea kayaking, white water kayaking, SUP & surf lifesaving, not to mention inspiring the next wave of Paddle Sports instructors.
Ronan is an all-round water-man and spends his spare time rock hopping, Surfing (board or kayak), downwind surf skiing or just exploring the stunning Irish Coastline from his sea kayak. He has paddled in over 10 countries and his adventures have taken him on expeditions from the white water Rivers of Nepal to, most recently, as part of the first Irish Sea Kayak expedition to South Georgia.
